The past 12 and June 13, 2014, saw the end of the XXIII edition of The Golden Nose. The event, organized by the magazine Wine + Food, brought together the 35 best sommeliers classified in different semifinals on central Hotel Villa Magna in Madrid. Another year, Taca de vi was among the classifieds, participating in various tastings and qualifying different wineries and themes that were organized during the two days. Prior to the final qualifying round, which leads to the final, extraordinary tasting like Cava Gramona were performed, Juve & Camps Cava or older vintages of Ramón Bilbao. Three great opportunities to meet high-end products and commented on their own processors.
One of the sections dedicated to the wineries present at the Golden Nose, was to conduct a test of knowledge of Bodegas Torres. Best exams passed to participate in the Torres Award for Best Service and Harmony. This test involves pairing and explain before any jury 6 Torres wines selected to accompany a dish created by the chef. On this occasion, Taca de vi was one of the classifieds, being in 2nd place. Pigeon “black garlic porridge Glitter” new cellar Albariño, Pazo das elected Bruixas, a marriage by marrying contrast perfectly. The grand finale of the event was contested by the top 5 ranked in the previous round, finally winning the trophy of the 2014 Golden Nose Iron Ivan Martinez Burgos.
