Penedès is the biggest and closest wine region to Barcelona. It is also one of the most interesting areas since they produce all kind of wines from different grape varieties (local and foreign), which gives a wide range of flavors.
This region is well known for white wines production, especially from the local grape Xarel·lo which gives fresh and slightly salty wines, full of complexity and vibrant acidity.
Penedès is also the home region of Cava, the famous Catalan sparkling wine. Dozens of little and medium producers are spread all over the territory willing to show the elegancy of the bubbles and the quality of their products.
In Can Bas cellar they will take us around their state by 4×4 and explain everything about their vineyards, history and working methods. An exciting tour through the vineyards and nature.
The sommelier will select 2 of the best cellars in Penedès so you can have a unique experience. He will also take you for lunch to one of his favorite restaurants in the region, where to enjoy traditional and delicious gastronomy.
