Sant Sadurní d’Anoia is the capital of cava where the first bottle was elaborated in 1872 following the Champenoise Methode. Nowadays we can find more 100 producers along the region of Penedès. This region is covered with the traditional varieties to elaborate Cava: Xarel·lo, Macabeu and Parellada.
