Merum Priorati
Merum Priorati, founded in 2013, is a renowned winery located in the picturesque village of Porrera. It is located in a privileged environment in Priorat, where the Mediterranean climate and the slatey soil called “llicorella” provide ideal conditions for growing grapes. The winery works mainly with the Garnacha and Cariñena grape varieties, which are emblematic of the region, and strives to reflect the authenticity of the terroir in each bottle.
The winery has one of the most elegant tasting rooms in the region, with a minimalist design and furniture, and a large and sober space.
They offer the possibility of visiting their vineyards with a classic 4×4 and vibrate with the steep slopes where their vineyards are planted.
At the end, a quick visit to their facilities and finish tasting their 4 delicious red wines with a small aperitif.
Their wines are characterized by their intensity, structure and complexity. The careful winemaking process, which combines traditional techniques with modern methods, allows them to create wines with a marked expression of ripe fruit, spicy notes and soft tannins. These wines have a great capacity for aging and evolve elegantly in the bottle.
Cal Batllet
Cal Batllet is a micro-winery located in the renowned wine village of Gratallops. Run by the vigneron Marc Ripoll (owner, winegrower and winemaker), this small winery produces only 15,000 bottles per year but of excellent quality and personality. It stands out for producing the only wine in the world made with the white grape Escanyavella, a rara avis that does not leave indifferent and that pleases those people who are looking for unique (but delicious) wines.
Located in an old village house, the entire winery is small and does not have a spectacular tasting room. The basement houses a small and historic aging room with lots of charm where the tasting takes place, its history and philosophy are explained, etc. Marc is pure passion and transmits his love for his work with affection.
Cal Batllet is proud to cultivate its own vineyards, using sustainable and environmentally friendly viticultural practices. The winery works mainly with the Garnacha and Cariñena grape varieties, which grow in slate soils characteristic of the Priorat.
Their red wines are the result of a careful selection of grapes and a meticulous vinification process. With proper aging in oak barrels, Cal Batllet wines acquire aromatic complexity and structure, offering a unique sensory experience. These wines are appreciated for their balance, fruit intensity and elegance.
Cal Pla
Cal Pla is a renowned winery located in Porrera, one of the most picturesque villages of the Priorat. With a winemaking history dating back to the mid-nineteenth century, the winery has managed to preserve its historic aging facilities, making it one of the most traditional wineries in the village and one of the most interesting to visit.
It is surprising for its aging room with high ceilings and arches. The painted walls and writings referring to wine and its goodness. As well as old barrels of more than 100 years old and still used to age their younger wines.
At the head of the winery we find Joan Sangenís who at the end of the 80’s decided, together with his father, to elaborate his own wine, bottle it and commercialize it. Something uncommon at that time. And until today it has become one of the wineries of reference in the region, with wines as outstanding as Mas d’en Compte blanc or his most personal red, Planots.
These are wines that do not follow the current trend of lightness and little body, but have remained firm in wines with structure, robust, lively tannins, but with all the minerality, elegance and personality that gives the Priorat slate.
It is characterized by working with native varieties such as Garnacha and Cariñena, but has also incorporated international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon. Its aim is to create wines that reflect the authenticity and richness of the Priorat terroir, making the most of the unique characteristics of the region.
Each bottle is the result of careful craftsmanship and a deep knowledge of the terroir.

Overlooking the vineyards and the village of Vilella Alta, they have built different tasting rooms also prepared to host corporate events, meals, presentations, etc.. All in a distinguished atmosphere, in keeping with the elegance and subtlety expressed by the wines of the winery.
In the vineyards they grow native varieties such as Garnacha and Cariñena, but they also incorporate international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah to add complexity and nuances to their wines. The winery works with vineyards located on steep slopes, where the vines struggle to find nutrients in the slate soils, resulting in grapes of great concentration and character.
Mas Alta wines are renowned for their expressiveness, elegance and ageability. The resulting wines are complex, with a balanced combination of fruit, spicy notes, fine tannins and a long persistence in the mouth.
